Easter Card #1

My first Easter card this year and also first time using the cute Magnolia stamp I got a while back and didn’t have a chance to play with yet. I tried for more traditional colors but in the end the brown/pink combination worked best for this design.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is a Valentine's card a made for Chad this year. I tried to keep it somewhat simple and the colors kind of masculine. I played with the idea of keeping the background solid black but then I found a piece of the polka dot paper and decided it was a better choice.

Fall Tilda

While cleaning my drawers I found this two pieces of chipboard and they seemed to work together so well. The green one was already painted from few month back when I though of using it as a part of a layout but it never made it into the completed project. I purposedly left smears on the brown one to achieve more country farm feel.

Santa #3

I decided to make cards for my co-workers using a similar design. Little differences here and there but same colors and very similar elements. Here is one I just completed. I used Magnolia's Santa again (I will try to use him for all 6 cards even though that might be a challenge).

Santa #2

I totally love the Santa stamp from Magnolia Winter collection. So much fun to work with and the cards just look awesome. Here is one more I made.

Holiday Tilda

I really enjoyed working on this card for a very good friend of mine. We do lots of hiking and snowshoeing together and I wanted for the card to have a little bit of outdoorsy feel. Tilda in her cute winter outfit was great fit.

Santa #1

I was in a mood for more traditional colors this time but just simple red and white seemed too dull so I spiced it with hints of gray and was very pleased with how the color combination worked. I'm sure I'll try it again on different designs.

I cut the little tabs below the buttons with my Quickutz Revolution. The die is called nameplate.

Rowdy Tilda

Stitching seems to be the big thing now... and it is for a good reason. It gives a project special touch of completeness. I always wanted to try incorporating few stitches onto a card. I do not have sewing machine so I had to go with handstitches. I used Technique Tuesday stamps as an outline, poked the holes for the stitches, and then spent over 2 hours finishing the stitched parts. I really like the result.

Happy Birthday

I was really excited to get my very first Tilda stamp and off I went to see what I can do with her. The very first card I created was a birthday card for a friend of mine. I had a bit hard time coloring her face. Not having any other medium of suitable colors, I used chalks by Pebbles. with set of new copic markers I purchased recently it will be way easier.
